It was during this time that Lin's love for jazz music blossomed, and he began studying the greats, such as Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, and Quincy Jones. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from FAMU, Lin found his musical home in Detroit, Michigan. Forming a band, he quickly gained recognition and performed extensively throughout the region.
In 2004, Lin released his debut CD, GROOVETREE, which received international acclaim. This was followed by two more successful albums, SUMTHIN' GOOD and SOULTREE The Soul-Jazz Experience. Lin’s talent caught the attention of major label Trippin' N Rhythm Records, leading to a fruitful collaboration where he wrote and co-produced six more projects: SERENDIPITOUS, SOULFUNKY, STRONGER STILL, FLUID, THE MESSAGE, and his latest CD, THE CHILL.
